Marco helps organizations to achieve better results using Scrum and a wider range of Agile techniques. Marco trains and coaches teams, management, Product Owners and Scrum Masters in their adoption and further development of Agile practices. He coached several large companies such as Ahold, Wehkamp, Randstad, SNS Bank, Triodos Bank and Tommy Hilfiger. He also coached many small companies such as Zicht Online, Digitpaint, Boerdam and Finaps. And he coaches government agencies such as Waternet and the Province of Groningen. Marco's background is software development, but he also regularly helps to apply Scrum in non-IT settings such as marketing teams.

Marco's experience with Agile dates back to the beginning of the Agile movement in 2001. During that period, Marco was part of OTI, a company founded by Agile pioneers. As a software developer at OTI, he was in one of the Agile teams that developed the popular tool Eclipse. Later, Marco co-founded NLScrum and often co-trainers alongside Scrum creator Jeff Sutherland. In 2011, Marco became the second Certified Scrum Trainer in the Netherlands.
