Learn how to apply scrum and gain practical agile skills to drive results in any role, whether you want to work as a scrum master or grow your capabilities. CSM® courses are delivered by Scrum Alliance-certified trainers who possess deep scrum knowledge. When you complete the course, you will receive a two-year Scrum Alliance professional membership.

ScrumMaster's role is often pivotal in the successful use of Scrum. And I'm not meaning organizing meetings and ensuring that there's enough coffee in the team's kitchen. Anyone can do those. I'm talking about the real responsibilities that require a master of Scrum - observing and providing feedback to the Development Team and PO, helping the Development Team jell into a real team, visualizing information in the system, being an organisational change agent, supporting the Development Team's self-organisation, and so on.

In this course, we will set the foundations for a path towards that mastery. In these first steps, we will look at things like:

• Experience the power of iterative and incremental learning
• Deep-dive into the foundations behind Scrum and Agile
• Explore Scrum's flow, roles and artefacts
• Find out how to help a team jell and how the ScrumMaster role changes as the team matures
• Real-life stories mixed in with other topics
• Many other small insights that will help ScrumMasters in their work

This course is great not just for ScrumMasters. Development Team members will find the information invaluable in their work within the team. Managers will get solid understanding on how the projects need to work and how to create an energizing workplace. People with little experience with Scrum will walk out with solid foundation for further learning. People with prior experience will get a great chance to reflect on their use of Scrum and Agile, and will add nuances to their understanding. 

The trainer guarantees that this will not be a PowerPoint deathmarch. Instead, the course is full of exercises and group conversations. There will be plenty of opportunities for your questions.

Since this is a virtual course, all participants need to have an access to a computer of some sort, internet connection, a video conferencing possibility and a camera to be seen during the course. We will use Zoom for the video connection and participant video must be on during all sessions. We recommend a headset for clearer audio.

This is a three day course. We will run six 2.5h "Sprints" (two per day), with a lunch hour in the middle of the days. We will use a "course backlog" to manage the course progress and to incorporate content requests and questions from the participants.

Primarily aimed at ScrumMasters and people with similar responsibilities, but the course is great for anyone interested in Scrum and Agile.

For people with less experience, it will provide a solid foundation understanding and applying Scrum and Agile correctly. It also helps incorporating learning from other sources.

For experienced people, it will provide an opportunity to peek deeper into the foundations of Agile and fine-tune understanding of the framework. Even very experienced people will walk out of the class with new insights and reflections. 

The course is also great for networking with people who are interested in Agile or are already using it.
