About this Course

Welcome to what we believe may be the first CSPO offered in Korea!

Note: this class will be delivered in English and is held on Friday, July 5 and Monday, July 8.  The weekend in between may help with retention as we return for more specific practices on Monday!

If you’re someone who is comfortable with the “business side” of projects, you are probably the right person to aspire to achieve a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification. While the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) helps the Scrum Team work together to learn and implement Scrum, as a CSPO, you create the product vision, order the Product Backlog, and make sure the best possible job is done to delight the customer.

This course is ideal for “business” side people practicing or moving toward Agile & Scrum.  This might include product managers, Product Owners, managers, leaders, analysts, testers and anyone who wants to understand Agile & Scrum with a business focus.  It is also great for ScrumMasters to attend with their Product Owners or to gain better skills for supporting their PO.

Benefits of a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification:

  • Expand your career opportunities across all industry sectors adopting Agile practices
  • Demonstrate your attainment of core Scrum knowledge
  • Learn the foundation of Scrum and the scope of the Product Owner role
  • Engage with Agile practitioners committed to continuous improvement

In addition to fulfilling the role of Product Owner, all NEW Scrum Alliance certification holders receive a complimentary two-year membership with their certification. Join local user groups and online social networks, gain access to deep discounts on Gatherings, and more.

By the end of the CSPO workshop you will be able to:
• Describe the Scrum framework to others
• Describe Scrum roles and responsibilities
• Use each artifact effectively
• Understand specific ways to create Vision statements and motivate the team
• Accurately compare Scrum Product Owner® role to traditional project roles
• Effectively create/maintain a product backlog – including advanced approaches like Story Mapping
• Plan for a product portfolio
• Have a working knowledge of the best estimating techniques
• Plan for a product release
• Plan for a sprint

Why take this CSPO course?
Because, when it comes to Agile, mindset (how you think) matters more than practices (what you do). And that means you want a world-class training environment and a top-quality experience from an exceptional instructor. One that helps you get into the Agile frame of mind so you can stop working harder and start working more effectively to deal with the challenging issues you face every day. After all, processes and tools can get you only so far.
Now’s the time to ask yourself the tough questions:

  • Am I satisfied to cobble together activities that seem like Scrum or am I ready to get serious about using the real thing?
  • Am I ready to truly understand Agile—to put "whys before hows," and learn the underlying principles and values that drive success before getting into successful practices—or am I satisfied to just “do Scrum”?
  • Am I ready to hold real conversations with my managers and executives or am I satisfied to stick with superficial interactions?
  • Am I ready to start measuring value delivered and stop measuring work output?
  • Am I ready for a one-of-a-kind training experience that instills the confidence to engage successfully in Agile practices as soon as I get back to my team or am I satisfied to stick with the typical Agile training session?
