6:30 - 8:00pm - The Agile Practitioners Problem Workshop
Facilitated by Mike Dwyer, Principal Scrum Coach at BigVisible Solutions and Certified Scrum Trainer
The Agile Practitioners Problem Workshop is a highly interactive session. The people participating have to be practitioners that want to discuss problems they face in doing Agile, not getting a job, not learning the basics, but practicing the art of ScrumMastering or Agile project management, Product Ownership or being a team member. People who are not presently practicing are invited to listen (like chickens!)
Participants write down three points they would like to talk about on sticky notes; each group works to consolidate the notes into sets, and picks a set of notes to discuss. Mike choses one note and asks the person to tell his or her group the story behind it.
Along the way Mike asks other people to take over telling the story based on their experiences in the situation until the group has a self-organized conversation. The story concludes with the original story teller summing up what he or she takes away from the discussion, and then asks the group to record what they felt was important on a flip chart.
Each group repeats this with another set of notes until within 10 minutes of the close of the session.
The individual groups then come together and wrap up by discussing the similarities between the two or three stories that were covered. Mike puts these on a flipchart and invites all to copy what they want.
