We have secured Kent Beck to speak at our July DFW Scrum. Kent is the creator of Extreme Programming (XP) and Test Driven Development as well as being an industry leader in Agile Software Development Practices.
While Kent will not be available in person, we will be using state of the art video conferencing to hear his presentation and facilitate a Q&A session in which you can gain insight to any issues you are having within your Scrum implementation.
Kent will be speaking about "Software G Forces: What Happens as the Deployment Cycle Approaches the Speed of Light". Increasing the frequency of deployments is one of the long-term, seemingly inexorable trends in software development. What constitutes responsible development at one deployment cycle, though, differs radically from what constitutes responsible development when the software is being deployed 100 times as often. This talk will outline the various times scales of deployment and discuss the transitions between different scales.
In addition, we will be giving away books by Mike Cohn and giving away 1 free spot in each of his upcoming classes in Dallas (Certified Scrum Master and Succeeding with Agile). A $1,200 value for each class.
Please remember that we provide food for our event and have limited space, only RSVP Yes if you are able to come so that others have an opportunity.
