This is an advanced continuing education course offered through Scrum Alliance, and it is considered complementary to the Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO) training classes. Through interactive exercises, this workshop will provide insight into technical Agile approaches that experts commonly use for crafting quick, effective and appropriate PBI's.

This one-day course is perfect for those who want to learn about how to effectively craft Product Backlog Items (PBI's).  User Stories are the foundation for this eight-step interactive workshop, however several other methods for crafting PBI's are covered in the course.  Please see the curriculum details for more information.

Attending this class is helpful for anyone that is responsible for documenting and creating Product Backlog Items, however this course is geared primarily for Product Owners or those who will be writing or refining Product Backlog Items.

This course is geared primarily for Product Owners or those who will be writing or refining Product Backlog items. Registration is open to anyone, but registrants must have prerequisite knowledge and experience using Scrum.

Prerequisites

Pre­-requisites include:

  1. Scrum certification (Scrum Alliance CSM, CSPO or industry equivalent), OR
  2. At least 6 months as a Product Owner on a Scrum team.
